Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 15, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lissin — the Lissin website at lissin.com, the Lissin mobile application, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by The Audio Company Inc. ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

If you obtained the Lissin app through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's terms, and the "Apple App Store" section below applies to you.

01Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract with us. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

02Your Account

Some features require an account. When you create one, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Restricting access to your devices and account
  • All activity that occurs under your account

Notify us promptly at hi@lissin.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account that results from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

03License to Use Lissin

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not transfer any ownership rights to you. You agree not to:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as expressly permitted
  • Use the Service, or content generated through it, for any commercial purpose or public performance without our written permission
  • Decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
  • Resell, rent, sublicense, or "mirror" any part of the Service, or share your account to circumvent subscription limits

04Subscriptions and Plans

In Short

Lissin offers a free tier and paid subscriptions (Lissin Plus and Lissin Pro), billed weekly, monthly, or annually through the Apple App Store.

The Service is offered through a free tier and optional paid subscriptions. Each plan unlocks different features and monthly generation allowances, which are described in the app before you subscribe:

  • Explore (Free). Unlimited Explore listening, one active personal show, and one generated episode (up to 15 minutes) every 7 days.
  • Lissin Plus. Up to 5 active personal shows, 180 newly generated minutes per month, longer episodes, personal remix, and recurring schedules.
  • Lissin Pro. Everything in Plus, with up to 20 active personal shows, 600 newly generated minutes per month, larger source packs, the longest episodes, advanced export, and priority support.

Pricing. Subscriptions are available on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis. The current price, billing period, and your local currency are always shown in the Apple App Store and within the app before you confirm a purchase, and may change as described in the "Price Changes" section below.

Generation allowances. Paid plans include a monthly allowance of newly generated audio minutes, metered by the final published length of each episode. Failed or cancelled generations do not consume your allowance, and remixes draw from the same monthly allowance as new generations. Allowances reset each billing month and do not roll over unless we state otherwise in the app.

05Billing and Auto-Renewal

In Short

Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple, charged to your Apple ID, and automatically renew until you cancel.

Purchases of Lissin subscriptions are made as in-app purchases processed by Apple through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID account. We use RevenueCat, a subscription management provider, to configure our subscription products and confirm your entitlements; we do not receive or store your full payment card details (see our Privacy Policy).

  • Your subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • If we offer a free or promotional trial and you do not cancel before it ends, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Apple ID will be charged.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial or promotional period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where Apple permits.

06Managing and Cancelling Your Subscription

Because App Store subscriptions are billed by Apple, you manage and cancel them through your Apple ID — not through your Lissin account settings. To cancel or change a plan, open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select Lissin, and follow the prompts. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access to paid features until then. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

07Price Changes

We may change subscription prices from time to time. If a price increase applies to your existing subscription, Apple will notify you in accordance with App Store rules, and where required will ask for your consent before the new price takes effect. If you do not agree to a new price, you may cancel your subscription before it renews. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new price.

08Refunds

In Short

Purchases are final. Because billing runs through the Apple App Store, refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

Except where required by applicable law, all purchases are final and non-refundable. Because your subscription is billed by Apple through the App Store, we are generally unable to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, submit a request to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, which Apple reviews under its Media Services Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable statutory refund or cancellation rights you may have under the consumer-protection laws of your country or region. If you believe you were charged in error, you may also contact us at hi@lissin.com and we will do our best to help.

09Apple App Store

The following applies when you download or use the Lissin app from the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and The Audio Company Inc. only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Your license to use the app is a non-transferable license to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. Any support questions should be directed to us at the contact details below.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any claims relating to the app are governed by these Terms.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10User Content and AI-Generated Output

The Service lets you upload or provide documents, links, and other materials ("Input") and generates audio shows, transcripts, and summaries from them ("Output"). You are responsible for your Input, including having the necessary rights to it, and for how you use the Output. You must not provide Input that infringes others' rights or violates any law.

As between you and us, you retain your rights in your Input. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and use your Input and Output solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service and to provide it to you. Output is generated by automated AI systems, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and is provided for your personal use; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

11Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by The Audio Company Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual-property laws. The "Lissin" name and logo are trademarks of the Company and may not be used without our prior written permission.

12Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service:

  • In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • To exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors
  • To transmit unsolicited advertising or promotional material (spam)
  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate the Company, an employee, or another user
  • To engage in any automated or bulk use of the Service, or to scrape or harvest data
  • To interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent the security or rate limits of the Service
  • To generate content that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates the policies of our third-party AI providers

13Third-Party Services

The Service relies on and links to third-party services — including the Apple App Store, RevenueCat, and our AI and infrastructure providers — and may let you connect third-party accounts (such as your email provider). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. Connecting a third-party account is optional and you may disconnect it at any time.

14Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that AI-generated Output will be accurate, complete, or reliable. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

15Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall The Audio Company Inc., nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

16Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Audio Company Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your Input, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.

17Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time; note that cancelling a paid subscription is done through Apple as described above. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

18Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. This governing law does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country in which you reside.

19Changes to These Terms

We may modify or replace these Terms from time to time. The updated version is indicated by the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice — for example, by posting a notice in the app or on this page — before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
