The person you were yesterday does not have veto power over the person you are becoming today. In episode seventy, we made space for all of your feelings, letting them be valid without judgment. That was about finding solid ground. Today, we build on that ground. We are moving from acceptance to action. From ‘this is how I feel’ to ‘this is what I’ll do with that feeling.’ This isn’t about erasing your past. It’s about refusing to let it be a cage. The foundation is set. Now, you build the house. First, an honest truth about growth. It is not a beautiful, linear ascent.

It is a messy, chaotic, often frustrating scribble. You will have days where you feel like a genius, and days where you can’t remember how to tie your own shoes. You will take two steps forward, feel the wind at your back... and then stumble one step back. Maybe three. And in that moment, your brain will scream that this is proof. Proof you can't do it. Proof you should quit. That is the old story. The new story sounds like this: ‘This is not a failure. This is feedback.’ Every mistake is just a piece of data. Every stumble is a lesson in balance.

It’s your body learning the terrain. It’s your mind finding a new pathway. So today, you give yourself permission to be a clumsy, awkward, brilliant beginner. You will not be perfect. You will be learning. And those two things are not the same. You are not falling down. You are learning how to get back up, stronger. And getting up is the only part that matters. Next, let’s confront the walls. The things you tell yourself you 'can’t' do. The skills you believe other people have, but not you. 'I’m not a leader.' 'I’m terrible at public speaking.' 'I could never learn to code.' These sentences feel like facts.

They feel solid. Permanent. Today, we turn them into dust with one small word: yet. I’m not a leader… yet. I’m terrible at public speaking… for now. I haven’t learned to code… yet. Can you feel the shift? It’s like opening a window in a stuffy room. That one word physically rewires the thought. It transforms a judgment into a journey. It honors the truth of where you are right now—you're not lying to yourself—while holding open the possibility of a different future. It’s the difference between a period and an ellipsis. One ends the conversation.

The other invites what’s next. Start listening for that word 'can't' in your own head today. Catch it. And gently, kindly, add a 'yet' to the end of it. You are a work in progress. And that is a profound and powerful place to be. This brings us to the core of it. The real shift. For so long, you might have believed your abilities are fixed. That you are either 'good' at something or 'bad' at it. A 'math person' or 'not a math person.' A 'creative' or 'not a creative.' Today, that story ends. We are swapping out the goal of 'being good' for the goal of 'getting better.' The focus is no longer on the outcome, on the applause, on the validation from someone else.

The focus is on the effort. Your value is not in the trophy. It’s in the training. It’s in showing up on the day you don’t feel like it. It’s in doing the reps when no one is watching. Because effort is the one thing you can always control. The world can deny you a victory. It can't deny you the strength you built while trying to win. Fall in love with the process of trying. Fall in love with the feeling of exertion, of stretching just beyond your current limit. The results will follow. But you won’t need them to. The work itself will be the reward.

So what is different today? Yesterday, you saw a challenge and thought, 'What if I fail?' Today, you see a challenge and you ask, 'What if I grow?' You are not defined by a single test score, a single project, a single difficult conversation. You are defined by your response to them. By your capacity to learn and adapt. You are the sum of your comebacks. The architect of your own evolution. You used to believe you had to find yourself. As if you were a finished object, lost somewhere, waiting to be discovered. That was never true. You are not found.

You are built. And the work begins again, right now.
