wherever you are right now let's begin simply noticing the space you're in the quality of the air on your skin last time we spoke about starting right where you are finding that calm even when life feels like too much let's bring that same gentleness here to this moment nothing to fix nothing to solve just being now allow your awareness to find your breath i don't think you should change it in any way
simply noticing its rhythm the feeling of the air as it enters cool and soft the gentle pause at the top of the inhale and the slow release on the exhale letting go each breath is an anchor a quiet return to the present if the mind wanders that's okay gently kindly guide it back to the sensation of breathing in and out from the breath let your attention drift down through your body
notice the points of contact the way to view supported by the floor or the chair feel that solidness that support now bring a soft awareness to your shoulders are they holding any tension simply notice no need to force them down let your attention move to your jaw to the small muscles around your eyes these are the places we often build our armor the walls we put up to feel safe
for now we are only noticing them not judging them not trying to tear them down simply acknowledging their presence with a quiet kindness and now sinking deeper beneath the breath beneath the body into the stillness in this quiet space we can consider what it means to be seen we spend so much of our lives trying to be strong trying to appear flawless we learn to hide the cracks the tender places we think that's what strength is
but what if our true strength is found in our willingness to be imperfect vulnerability isn't a weakness to be overcome it's the quiet profound courage to show up as you are without the armor without the walls it's the source of our deepest connections to ourselves and to others when you feel ready you can begin to bring your awareness back back to the feeling of the breath in your lungs back to the sounds in the room around you there is no rush
as you carry on from here perhaps you can take this one thought with you what if the most liberating thing you could do is simply let yourself be seen not for who you think you should be but for who you truly are that is where your truest strength resides
