Elon Musk declared this week that his Terafab in Texas will be the largest and most valuable building on Earth. Last week we talked about the escalation in his AI ambitions... and this week, that theme of scale went into overdrive, both physically and digitally. Here’s what else moved. First, a major shift is coming for creators on X. The platform announced it's ending its original Creator Revenue Sharing program. New enrollments stopped on August seventh, and the whole program will be retired on September seventh, replaced by something called the Original Content Rewards program.

Second, SpaceX held its first-ever earnings webcast as a public company. During the call, Musk emphasized the company's progress on a "fully and rapidly reusable, reliable rocket." This is the core of their entire business model, and he's signaling to investors that the engineering is on track. And finally, the AI race continues. Musk heavily promoted Grok, his AI model. He highlighted a report showing Grok 4.5 is now number one for daily usage on a platform called Design Arena... beating out competitors like Claude Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol. The message is that Grok isn't just winning benchmarks, it's winning actual users.

So what’s the real thread connecting all this? It's about building the container. On one hand, you have the physical world. Musk isn't just talking about a big factory. He called Terafab Texas the LARGEST and MOST valuable building on the planet. This is the same language he uses for everything. It's not just a rocket, it's a fully reusable system. It's not just a colony, it’s a self-sustaining city on Mars. The ambition is always total. And he's building the digital container in parallel. Last month, he said "AI and robots will really dominate everything." This week, that vision got more specific.

SpaceX is now actively hiring engineers to build and operate AI supercomputer clusters... both on and off Earth. Think about that. He's not just building AI for his cars or his social network. He's building the computing infrastructure for space. This is where it all connects. The AI isn't separate from the rockets. The AI supercomputers will run the simulations. They'll operate the Optimus robots that he expects will one day fly on Starship. They'll manage the logistics for a city on another planet. So when you see him post about Grok beating competitors in daily usage, it’s not just about a consumer chatbot.

It’s a proof of concept. It’s a signal that his AI development is keeping pace with his physical engineering. One side builds the hardware, the other builds the brain. This week shows that for Musk, there's no longer a distinction between the digital and the physical. It's all one massive, integrated construction project. The largest building on Earth is just one small part of it.
