A Nobel laureate in economics just called the current trajectory of AI a "shitshow." That one word from MIT's Daron Acemoglu landed on Twitter on April twenty-third, and it set the tone for every major tech conversation of the day. Because it landed the same day OpenAI, SpaceX, and one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies showed us exactly what he was talking about. This wasn't a theoretical debate anymore.
