Welcome. Let’s begin by finding a comfortable position for rest. In our last time together, we practiced letting go. Tonight, we invite that same release deep into the body itself. Allow your breath to find its own natural rhythm. No need to change a thing. Simply noticing the gentle rise and fall of your chest or belly.
Each breath, an invitation to be here. Each exhale, a soft sigh of release. Now, bring your awareness all the way down to your feet. On your next inhale, gently curl your toes, creating a little tension. Hold it for a moment. And with your exhale, let it all go. Feel the warmth as the muscles soften.
Now allow that feeling to travel up into your legs. Breathing in, gently tense the muscles in your calves and thighs. And breathing out, release completely. Letting your legs feel heavy and supported. Bring that awareness now to your hands. On an inhale, softly make a fist. Feeling the tension in your hands and forearms.
And on the exhale, let your fingers unfurl. Releasing all effort. Allow your shoulders to drop away from your ears. Let your jaw be soft. The space between your eyebrows, smooth and wide. There is nothing left to do. Nowhere else to be. Simply resting here, in the quiet space you have created.
Allowing the body to be heavy, soft, and still. Resting in the stillness beneath thought. Drifting. When you are ready, sleep is here to welcome you. There is no need to hold on any longer. You have done enough for today. Rest well.
