The first thing to fall upwards was a single red sock. Wait, what? Last week, Admin, we saw everything just... float. Remember Pip trying to get that floating fishbowl back down? This was different. This wasn't floating. This was FALLING. But up. Pip woke up and the sock just... shot past their nose. Straight up. It hit the ceiling with a soft little thump. And it stayed there. Pinned. Then a pencil rolled off the desk. It didn't clatter to the floor. It zipped into the air. Then a book. Then a half-eaten apple. Everything that wasn't tied down was falling towards the SKY. Pip scrambled out of bed, feet planted firm on the floor. At least Pip wasn't falling up.

But the room... the room was a slow-motion explosion in reverse. Toys and clothes and cushions were peeling off the floor and collecting on the ceiling like weird, soft stalactites. Pip crept to the window and looked out. Oh no. It was raining. But the drops weren't hitting the glass. They were shooting away from it, flying from the puddles back up into the clouds. The world was draining into the heavens. And that's when Pip heard it. A tiny, frantic squeak. SQUEAKY! The hamster! Pip spun around. Squeaky's cage door had swung open! And the cage was on a little table right by the open window. Squeaky, in his little plastic ball, was rolling...

rolling... right towards the edge. NO! Pip lunged, but it was too late. The little ball tipped over the windowsill and... didn't fall. It shot UP. A tiny plastic cannonball headed for the clouds. Squeaky was falling into the sky! Pip’s heart hammered. There was no time! They couldn't climb the walls. They couldn't fly. The hamster ball was getting smaller and smaller. But then Pip saw it. The bedsheet. It was still tucked in, heavy enough that it hadn't fallen up yet. An idea sparked. A crazy, impossible, terrifying idea. It was the only idea they had. Pip grabbed the corner of the bedsheet, yanked it free, and held it like a giant cape.

Then... with a deep breath... Pip ran to the window and JUMPED. OUT THE WINDOW! For one, terrible second, nothing happened. Pip just hung there. But then the sheet unfurled. It caught the upward pull. It billowed out, not like a parachute, but like a hot air balloon. And Pip started to RISE! Up, up, up! Faster than the rain, faster than the leaves. The little plastic sphere with a very scared hamster inside was right there! Pip reached out a hand... fingers closing around the ball just in time. They had him. They held on tight, using their own weight to steer the sheet, drifting like a kite in reverse. They didn't land on the ground.

They landed softly on the roof of their own house, Squeaky safe. From the roof, Pip and Squeaky watched the whole, upside-down world. And Pip realized something, Admin. Courage isn't about not being afraid. Courage is seeing the entire world has gone completely haywire... and jumping out the window anyway.
