This exact breath you are taking has never happened before, and it will never happen again. In Episode 97, we talked about grounding your morning in real affirmations. Today, we're not building them. We are simply noticing what is already true. Right here. Right now. So, find your space. You don't need to be perfect. You just need to be present. Let's begin. First. Notice the feeling of your own weight. The simple, physical fact of your body being held.
Maybe it’s the chair beneath you, or the solid ground under your feet. You are supported. You are anchored to this spot on the earth, in this moment. You don't have to hold yourself up. You are ALREADY being held. Let that be true. Second. Listen. Don't search for a sound, just open your awareness to what is already there. The hum of a machine. The distant traffic. The silence between your own heartbeats. These sounds are the unique soundtrack of this one, unrepeatable moment in your life.
You don't need to label them or judge them. Just let them be heard. They are proof that you are here. Now. Third. Feel the air on your skin. Is it cool? Is it warm? Is there a slight movement, a breeze from a vent or an open window? This is the world making gentle contact with you. A constant, quiet reminder that you are not separate from your environment, but a part of it. You belong to this moment, and this moment belongs to you. Fourth.
Look at your hands. Just for a second. See the lines, the shape, the color. These are the hands that have carried you this far. They have built things, held things, let things go. They are capable of incredible strength and incredible gentleness. Right now, they are simply at rest. They are a part of you. A testament to your journey and a tool for your future. But for this moment, they are just here. Perfect as they are. Fifth. Acknowledge one feeling that is present within you.
Not the feeling you think you should have, but the one that is actually there. Tiredness. Hope. Frustration. Peace. Name it quietly to yourself. You don't need to fix it or change it. By naming it, you give it space. You prove to yourself that you are big enough to hold any feeling without being consumed by it. It is a visitor, not the owner of the house. And finally. Take one intentional breath. Deeper than the rest. Feel your chest expand, feel your lungs fill completely.
And as you exhale, let it go completely. Let it be a release. You have just given yourself the gift of your own attention. The most valuable currency you have. You have proven, in the last few minutes, that you can return to yourself at any time. The past is a story you tell yourself. The future is a question you haven't yet asked. But this moment... this breath... the feeling of the ground beneath you... this is not a story or a question.
It is a fact. It is the only place from which everything else begins. Start here.
