Magic on the Marina: Hidden Wonders at the Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts was originally built from plaster and wood fiber for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, a structure intended only to be temporary. In our last episode, we found magic hidden beneath the city’s everyday landmarks, but this particular organism was so beloved that the local population insisted it be preserved, rebuilt in permanent materials as if to make enchantment itself a fixture. The behaviors are always consistent: migratory tourists capturing digital proof of their pilgrimage; the resident swans, elegant and aloof, tracing the same invisible pathways across the lagoon.
