Sprout's First Journey: A Gentle Bedtime Adventure

A tiny wiggle started deep in the dark. It was a different kind of dark than the night sky, where Flicker the firefly helped that lost moonbeam. Not a wiggling worm, but something still and strong. It was a root. A long, thin finger of a giant tree reaching deep into the earth. The root didn't speak in words. But Sprout could feel it.
