A daily gaming news podcast on the games you play
Set a short daily gaming news show on the platforms, studios and games you follow. Lissin reads published news and patch notes, then writes a spoken briefing.
The short answer
Ask Lissin for a daily gaming show: "every weekday at 8, ten minutes on announcements, release dates and patch notes for PC and Switch, with extra on Nintendo and anything new on Hollow Knight: Silksong; skip rumours". Before each episode it searches published news, patch notes and studio posts, writes a spoken briefing and lists its sources.
How to set it up
Narrow it to your platforms and games
Gaming news is mostly about games you will never play. Name your platforms, the studios you follow and two or three games you are in, and say how much room the rest of the industry gets: "one minute on everything else".
Decide what to do with rumours
Leaks and unconfirmed reports make up a lot of gaming coverage. Tell the show to skip them, or to keep them in a separate section that says plainly they are unconfirmed.
Ask for patch notes in plain words
Patch notes are long lists of numbers. Ask for what changes for you: "for each patch to a game I play, the two or three changes that affect how I play, and nothing on bug fixes".
Protect the stories you haven't finished
News about a new release can give away its story. Name any game you are still playing and ask the show to leave out plot details for it.

Questions
- Can it cover one game only?
- Yes, if that game produces enough news. A live-service game with frequent patches and events can fill a weekly show. For a quieter game, add its genre or studio so an episode is not mostly padding.
- Does it review games?
- No. It does not play games. It can tell you what published reviews say, and how they differ, once those reviews are out.
- Can it tell me about sales and price drops?
- Only sales that have been reported or announced. It does not check store prices, so look at the store before you buy.
What this does not do
It works from what is published before each episode, so it cannot follow a showcase live and will miss an announcement made after it runs. It does not play games, check store prices or track your own library. Early reports and leaks are sometimes wrong, and the episode can repeat them unless you ask it to skip unconfirmed news. Creating a show needs an iPhone on iOS 26 or later, and daily delivery needs a paid plan.
