Turn a reading backlog into an audio show
Export the articles you saved and never read — from a read-later app, a browser folder, a highlights export — and turn the pile into one episode you finish.
The short answer
Export or save the saved articles as HTML or PDF, upload them together, and ask what connects them. A read-later queue is not a reading list, it is forty tabs of one recurring interest, and one episode about that interest is more useful than forty narrations.
How to do it
Get the articles out of wherever they are
Most read-later tools export a list of URLs rather than the text, which is fine: paste the links you still care about straight in and Lissin fetches them. Anything paywalled or behind a login it cannot reach, and those need Save Page As or a print to PDF instead.
Upload highlights instead, if you have them
A highlights export — Kindle’s My Clippings, a Readwise export, anything that produces a document — is a better input than the articles. It is already the parts you thought mattered, which is a stronger signal than a saved URL.
Ask what the pile is about
‘What do these have in common, where do they contradict each other, and what am I apparently trying to work out’ is the prompt. It turns a backlog into a description of your own attention, which is a genuinely different artefact from any of the articles.

Questions
- Can Lissin connect to Pocket, Instapaper or Readwise?
- Not as an account you link — there is no integration with any read-later service, so nothing syncs on its own. What you can do is paste the article links straight in, or upload a highlights export. The queue still has to be moved by hand; only the per-article step got easier.
- What if the export is just a list of links?
- That is the usable case: paste them in and Lissin fetches each page. The ones it cannot reach — paywalled, or behind a login — are the ones worth saving as HTML instead.
- How many articles is too many?
- Past about a dozen, a synthesis stops being able to say anything specific about any of them. Batch by theme rather than by date and you get several good episodes instead of one vague one.
What this does not do
Nothing syncs. You are still moving your own queue across by hand, a batch at a time, and paywalled pieces cannot be fetched or saved in full. If a read-later integration is what you want, Lissin does not have one.
