The short answer
Paste the EDGAR link, or upload the filing as PDF, then name the sections you care about — risk factors, MD&A, the segment tables. A 10-K read start to finish is four hours of boilerplate; a briefing on the parts that changed is fifteen minutes.
How to do it

EDGAR serves filings as HTML, and you can paste that URL straight in. Saving the HTML or printing to PDF also works and keeps the full text. Use that route when you want a specific exhibit rather than the whole document.
Name the sections, not the document
Ask for ‘Item 1A risk factors and the MD&A, focused on anything new against last year’. Filings are largely repeated boilerplate by design, and a summary with no instruction spends most of its length there.
Upload this year and last year together
Upload two years’ filings and ask ‘what changed’. The briefing covers which risks were added, which language softened and which segment stopped being broken out.

Questions
- Can it watch EDGAR for new filings?
- No. Lissin fetches a filing you point it at, but nothing monitors EDGAR and nothing runs when a company files. A recurring show described by company and subject researches public coverage on a schedule, which is less precise than reading the filing.
- Are the financial tables usable in audio?
- Only as narrated change, such as ‘revenue up nine percent, margin down two points’. The tables themselves do not work as audio.
- Is this investment advice?
- No. An episode is a reading of the document, and Lissin’s output is not a research report. Check every number against the filing before it informs a decision.
What this does not do
Exhibits are separate documents and are not included unless you upload them. XBRL data is not read. Summarising smooths away a filing’s careful hedging, so read the exact wording of a risk factor instead of relying on the audio.
