Find a position that feels comfortable for you. Lying down, or seated. Whatever allows your body to feel supported. Close your eyes, if that feels right. And just begin to notice your breath. Noticing the air as it enters your body. And as it leaves. There is no need to change anything. Simply observing the natural rhythm of your breathing. The gentle rise on the inhale. And the soft fall on the exhale.

Each breath is a quiet anchor to this present moment. Inhaling... and exhaling. Bring your awareness now to the space between your eyebrows. Feel if there is any tension held there. And on your next exhale, imagine that space softening. Let that feeling of release travel down to your jaw. Allowing your teeth to part slightly. Letting your tongue rest gently in your mouth. Notice your shoulders.

Perhaps they are drawn up toward your ears. With your next breath out, invite them to drop. To release the weight they have been carrying all day. Feel this wave of softness move down your arms. Through your elbows. All the way to your fingertips. Your hands can rest, open and soft. Your awareness travels down through your torso. Your back, fully supported by the surface beneath you. Your stomach, rising and falling with each quiet breath.

Let this gentle attention move into your legs. Your thighs. Your knees. Your calves. All the way down to your feet. Your whole body, now resting. Feeling heavy and supported. As you continue to breathe, you can consider the day that has passed. The conversations. The tasks. The moments of effort. You don't need to analyze them. Or judge them. Simply see them as clouds passing in the sky. With each exhale, you can gently release one of these clouds.

Letting it drift away, dissolving into the air. Releasing any thoughts that are still running. Any conversations you are replaying. Let them go with the out-breath. Creating space. Creating quiet. The inhale brings quiet presence. The exhale lets go of the day. There is nothing else for you to do right now. Nowhere else for you to be. Just here. In this quiet. In this stillness. Resting in the peaceful space between your thoughts.

If a thought arrives, that’s okay. Notice it without judgment. And then gently guide your awareness back to the simple sensation of your breath. The feeling of air moving in... and moving out. Simply being. Simply breathing. As we bring this time to a close, there is no need to rush. Begin to bring a gentle awareness back to your body. Noticing the feeling of the surface beneath you. The weight of the blankets.

Perhaps you wiggle your fingers and your toes. A gentle, slow awakening. The day is done. You have done enough. All that is left now is rest. When you are ready, you can open your eyes, or simply allow yourself to drift off to sleep. Carrying this stillness with you. Rest well.
