Your physical body stores the story of your day as tension. In our last meditation, we invited deep quiet into our evening. Tonight, we find that quiet by gently asking the body to let its story go. So find a position that feels like rest. Lying down, if you can.

Allowing your eyes to drift closed. There is nothing you need to do. Nowhere else to be. Simply arrive. Here. Begin by noticing your breath. Not changing it. Just feeling the gentle rise on the inhale... and the soft release of the exhale. Each breath, a quiet invitation to soften.

Each exhale, a chance to let go. Now... bring your awareness all the way down... down to the tips of your toes. Can you feel them inside your socks... or against the air? Just notice. And with your next exhale, imagine your toes becoming soft... and heavy. Allow that feeling to spread into the soles of your feet.

Into your heels, feeling their weight against the surface beneath you. Letting go of all the steps taken today. Just releasing. This gentle awareness now travels up into your ankles... your calves... and shins. Noticing any tightness... any lingering ache.

And as you breathe out... just letting it dissolve. Melting away. Feeling the knees soften. And the large muscles of your thighs... letting them grow heavy and still. Releasing their grip completely. Your legs are now completely at rest. Bring your attention now to your hips...

your pelvis... and your lower back. This is an area where we hold so much. Simply breathe into this space. And on the exhale... give it permission to release. To sink down into the bed. Your awareness drifts up to your stomach. Allowing your belly to be soft.

Up into your chest... feeling the gentle movement of your breath. And now... your shoulders. Let them drop away from your ears. Let them release the weight they have carried all day. Feel this wave of softness flow down your arms... through your elbows... your forearms...

into your wrists... and hands. Your fingers are soft... and still. Finally, bring your awareness to your neck... and your throat. Let them be open and soft. Release your jaw. Allowing a little space between your teeth. Let your tongue rest. Feel the tiny muscles around your eyes begin to smooth out.

The space between your eyebrows... widening. Your forehead... calm and clear. All the way to the very crown of your head. For a moment, just feel your entire body. One peaceful, heavy, still presence. Breathing gently. There is nothing left to hold. Nothing left to do.

The day is complete. Now, you can simply rest.
