Whisper the Little Cloud: A Cozy Sky Adventure

whisper was a cloud no bigger than a handful of the softest cotton fluff just last night we watched pip the maple seed learn to let go and fly on the wind well that very same wind which was so good to pip was about to pay a little visit to whisper whisper loved their spot in the big wide blue sky it was home the sun felt like a warm cozy blanket always peeking through to say hello from this spot whisper could watch the big important looking clouds sail by like giant ships on a blue ocean they were all going places but whisper was happy right where they were a small perfect puff of white they felt safe and sound then a little breeze came dancing through the sky it wasn't a big pushy wind

it was a playful little whisper of air it tickled whisper's edges and danced all around them come and see it seemed to there's a whole world down there whisper felt a little wobble a tiny shiver of what was that feeling it was a little bit of fear but a whole lot of curiosity what did the breeze mean what was there to see leaving their cozy spot felt like a very big thing to do the breeze came back this time even more gently it didn't push it just offered a little lift like a kind helping hand and whisper feeling that gentle kindness made a choice

they let go for a moment nothing happened then slowly so slowly they began to drift the world below opened up like a giant storybook there were patches of green and brown and a long wiggling line that sparkled in the sun whisper wanted a better look they leaned and stretched and oh suddenly they weren't around puffball anymore they had changed they were long and thin just like that sparkling ribbon on the ground it was a river a soft airy giggle bubbled up inside whisper they could change this was the most wonderful secret what else could they be they floated

over a field of bright yellow dots dandelions whisper scrunched up and tried to look like a puffy dandelion head ready to make a wish the breeze laughed and carried them onward next they saw birds swooping and diving with such grace whisper stretched out two long wispy ends wings for a wonderful moment they soared just like a bird then down in a green meadow were dozens of fluffy white sheep whisper tried to look like a little lamb all bumpy and woolly it was the best game they had ever played as the sun began to dip low painting the sky in sleepy shades of pink and gold the breeze began to slow it gently guided whisper back

to a quiet corner of the sky right next to the pale rising moon tucked in and tired from a day of adventure whisper felt so happy they weren't just a little puff anymore they were a river and a flower and a bird and a lamb and as they closed their cloudy eyes they dreamed of all the wonderful shapes they would be tomorrow
