Nimbus was a tiny cloud who could hold exactly three little raindrops. That's even smaller than the moonlit garden Slinky the Snail explored, isn't it? But for a cloud, it was just right. Nimbus loved to nap. More than anything. He would find a soft patch of sky, curl his fluffy edges in, and doze. The sun would warm his top. The stars would twinkle around him like little nightlights. It was all very… cozy.

One evening, a gentle friend came to visit. The West Wind. Whoooosh. The wind whispered, "Wake up, little one. There is something to see." Nimbus just wanted to sleep. He mumbled and grumbled a fluffy little grumble. But the wind was playful. It nudged him… gently… and then a little more. And soon, Nimbus was drifting. He was on an adventure. He floated over towns, quiet and still. He saw tiny lights like fallen stars tucked into their houses.

He drifted over forests, where the trees whispered secrets to each other in the dark. He saw a river, a long silver ribbon shining in the moonlight. All the while, Nimbus felt the cool night air. And he started to feel… different. A little heavy. A little full. That tickly feeling meant his three raindrops were ready. Just then, he floated over a dark, quiet meadow. And down below, he saw it. A single, tiny flower.

Its little head was drooped down. Its petals were curled up, like it was cold and sad. Nimbus had never seen anything so thirsty. And a strange feeling filled his cloudy heart. It wasn't sleepiness. It was something else. Something warm, and big, and wanting to… help. Nimbus took a deep, cloudy breath. He thought about his three precious raindrops. And then, he let them go. The first drop fell. Plink. It landed on a dusty green leaf.

The second drop fell. Plonk. It landed right on the flower’s drooping head. The third drop fell. Plink. It rolled down a petal and soaked into the thirsty ground. Nimbus watched. Slowly… so slowly… the little flower began to lift its head. It stretched its petals out to the moonlight, as if to say "thank you." Nimbus felt suddenly light. Lighter than he had ever been. And happier. So much happier than even the coziest nap.

He was a little smaller now, but his heart felt bigger than the whole night sky. He drifted on, carried by the gentle West Wind. And in the quiet meadow, a tiny flower drank in the starlight, no longer thirsty at all.
