Twinkle’s First Night: A Gentle Bedtime Journey Among the Stars

They drifted over a big, quiet forest, where a family of owls hooted a soft goodnight to each other. Seeing the cozy owl family made Twinkle feel a little fizz inside. A tiny flicker of light, no bigger than a pinprick, came from its center. They floated on, over fields of sleeping flowers.

The sweet smell of night-blooming jasmine rose up to greet them. Twinkle breathed it in, and the little fizz grew a tiny bit warmer. The flicker of light grew a tiny bit brighter. Then, Twinkle saw it. A window. And in the window, a small bed. And in the bed, a little child was snuggled deep under the blankets, dreaming a happy dream. A feeling of such warmth and love filled the tiny star, a feeling so BIG and wonderful it felt like sunshine.

Twinkle forgot all about trying. It forgot all about pushing. It just floated there, full of this happy, peaceful feeling for the sleeping child.
