Pip looked in the bathroom mirror and saw… the towel rack. Now, this was the same Pip who just last week brought all the colors back to the world. But this? This was a whole new kind of impossible. Pip waved a hand. The hand did not wave back. They stuck out their tongue. Nothing. The mirror wasn't a mirror anymore. It was just… glass. A window into the wall behind it. Pip ran to the kitchen. The toaster was a dull gray box. A spoon only showed the ceiling. Every single reflection in the entire world… was gone.

Things got weird. And fast. Pip’s dad walked out of the bathroom with a brand new hairstyle—one giant tuft of hair sticking straight up in the back. He’d missed a spot. Because he couldn't see it! Outside, cars were crawling down the street. Sooooo slowly. No one could use their rearview mirrors! But then Pip saw something truly strange. A flock of pigeons was flying toward a giant, glass skyscraper. And they weren't slowing down. Usually, they’d see their own reflection and think it was another flock of birds.

They’d turn. But not today. Today they saw… more sky. Straight through the building. And BONK. One by one, they gently bumped into the glass, totally confused. Pip knew. This wasn't just weird. This was dangerous. How do you even begin to fix something that isn't there? Pip sat down and thought. Hard. Reflections aren't things. You can't put them in a pocket. They’re made of light. Light bounces off you… hits a mirror… and bounces back. So what if the reflections weren't gone? What if they were just… stuck?

Pip remembered an old story about Glimmer. A tiny, mischievous sprite who LOVED shiny things. Maybe… maybe Glimmer had collected them all. Pip had an idea. A wild, crazy, might-just-work idea. They found the shiniest thing left in the whole, dull world. A tiny, crumpled ball of tin foil from a piece of chocolate. Pip held it up high. And shouted as loud as they could. “GLIMMER! I bet you can’t make THIS the shiniest thing in the universe!” Silence. Then… a zip. A tiny, shimmering light buzzed into the room, trailing a cape made of pure sparkle.

It was Glimmer! And the cape… it was made of all the stolen reflections! Glimmer saw the dull foil ball and scoffed. The sprite zapped it with a tiny bit of shine. “Shinier!” Pip yelled. Glimmer zapped it again, a little annoyed. “STILL NOT SHINY ENOUGH!” Pip shouted. That did it. With a frustrated squeak, Glimmer unleashed EVERYTHING. A tidal wave of shimmering, sparkling light exploded from the sprite’s cape, washing over the entire room. Over the whole world! The reflections were free!

Pip looked down at the foil ball. A tiny, grinning face looked back. They ran to the bathroom mirror. And there they were. Pip waved. And this time… their reflection waved right back.
