A podcast app plays shows made for an audience. Lissin makes shows for one person. Keep your podcast player and use Lissin for subjects no podcast covers.
The short answer
Lissin does not replace your podcast player. It cannot subscribe to an RSS feed or play the shows you already follow. It makes new shows for one listener, on subjects too narrow for a general audience to keep a podcast going.
How to choose

The shows you follow are made by people, and nothing generated replaces a host you like. Use Lissin as a second source of audio for the subjects your subscriptions do not cover.
Ask for what no one would publish
Ask for a weekly show on the corner of regulation your job depends on, a hobby with four hundred people in it, or the books your children are reading. These have no audience big enough for anyone to publish a podcast.
Listen where you already do
Shows play in the iPhone app with offline downloads and a synchronised transcript, and any show shares as a web link that plays without an account.

Questions
- Can I add my podcast subscriptions?
- No. Lissin has no feed reader and does not play third-party podcasts.
- Can I publish a Lissin show as a podcast feed?
- Shows share as a web link anyone can open and play. There is no RSS export for submitting one to podcast directories.
- Then why would I install another audio app?
- Podcasts exist for subjects enough people want to hear about. Most of what you personally need to keep up with is too narrow for that, and Lissin makes shows on it.
What this does not do
Lissin has no RSS, no directory listing, no third-party playback and no cross-device sync with your podcast player. If you want a better podcast client, Lissin is not one.

Make a show from your topic or documents in the Lissin iPhone app (iOS 26 or later). Or listen to public shows in the web player without installing the app.
