Snipd works with podcasts you already listen to: it finds the good parts, clips and transcribes them, and helps you keep them. Lissin makes new episodes. If you have too many podcasts to get through, use Snipd. If nobody makes the show you want, use Lissin.
How to choose
Name the actual complaint
‘I listen to a lot and retain none of it’ is a capture problem. ‘There is no show about the thing I need to follow’ is a supply problem. Snipd handles the first and Lissin the second, and neither does the other’s job.
Describe the show you wish existed
Give the subject, angle, length, number of voices and how often it should arrive. Lissin makes the show from that description, and you can adjust it until the show is the one you wanted.
Use the transcript to find the parts that matter
Every Lissin episode comes with a transcript synchronised to the audio, so you can scan an episode to find a passage again instead of replaying it. Lissin has no clip capture.

- Can I clip and save moments from a Lissin episode?
- There is no highlight-capture feature. The transcript is how you find a passage again, and shows can be shared as a link to a specific episode.
- Does Lissin export to my notes app?
- No. There is no Readwise, Notion or Obsidian export.
- Can I use both?
- Yes. They do not overlap: Snipd handles the podcasts you follow, and Lissin makes the ones nobody publishes.
What this does not do
Lissin has no highlight capture, no notes-app export and no playback of podcasts from anywhere else. It does none of the things Snipd is built for.
