Snipd helps you capture and revisit the best moments of podcasts you already listen to. Lissin makes the episode in the first place. Two different problems.
The short answer
Snipd sits on top of podcasts that exist: it finds the good parts, clips them, transcribes them and helps you keep them. Lissin produces episodes that do not exist yet. If your problem is too much podcast to get through, Snipd is the right tool; if it is that nobody makes the show you want, Lissin is.
How to choose
Name the actual complaint
‘I listen to a lot and retain none of it’ is a capture problem. ‘There is no show about the thing I need to follow’ is a supply problem. They are solved by different software and neither tool solves the other’s.
Describe the show you wish existed
Subject, angle, length, how many voices, how often. That description is the product — it is what gets made, and it can be adjusted until the show is the one you wanted.
Use the transcript to find the parts that matter
Every Lissin episode ships a transcript synchronised to the audio, so you can scan an episode rather than replay it. It is not clip capture, but it covers the same need for finding a passage again.

Questions
- Can I clip and save moments from a Lissin episode?
- There is no highlight-capture feature. The transcript is how you find a passage again, and shows can be shared as a link to a specific episode.
- Does Lissin export to my notes app?
- No. There is no Readwise, Notion or Obsidian export.
- Can I use both?
- Easily — they do not overlap. One handles the podcasts you follow, the other makes the ones nobody publishes.
What this does not do
No highlight capture, no notes-app export, no playback of podcasts from anywhere else. Everything Snipd is specifically good at, Lissin does not do.
